About

It all started with Mustache May.

My husband spear-headed a Mustache event at his workplace for the month of May. He is more than a little obsessed with facial hair – in part because it does not come easily for him. The rules were you could grow any amount of hair for the first three weeks but then had to shave everything but the mustache for the last week. A co-worker of his decided he wanted to do another 30 day “thing” for June and keep it going. In July my husband and I jumped in with our first challenge — vegetarianism. In August it was no TV for 30 days. In September my goal was to run 60 miles and my husband chose 75 miles – we successfully completed this challenge. But, just barely. In September I also recruited my friend Mariah to try her first challenge — she chose to meditate for 30 minutes. In October we decided to launch a blog to document our efforts and encourage others.

So challenge yourself, enlighten yourself. Try something new or old. Try something different. Maybe try to quit a bad habit or adopt a new habit. Get your friends and family involved. The bottom line is: you can do anything for 30 days. It’s only 30 days.

Check out the Idea page if you are having troubles coming up with something. Or join us for our monthly challenge and come back here and discuss it.
